We're Expecting!

Okay, not really us. But I had you fooled for a second I'm sure! We do have some fun news to share though.

So just recently a bird started building a little nest sandwiched between the dated Christmas wreath (yes, we haven't taken it down yet) and the glass door to our apartment. I thought it was cute and kind of fun. We've been watching this nest take shape over the past couple weeks. And that in itself is a pretty amazing thing. The final product had a completely perfect circle right in the middle. And with all the slamming of our door, it hasn't even budged. It's one sold little piece of construction.

Anyway, last night I was showing my little brother how amazing and cool it was that we have a bird building a nest on our door, and he said "Did you know there are eggs in it?!" What! I can barely contain my excitement. I feel like we're having our own little babies that we get to watch grow. Now, I can't say that Chris is excited as I am, but I know Parker thinks it's pretty cool. We look at them everyday. And don't worry we'll keep you posted on their progress! Here are some pictures of our door, the nest, and the eggs. Fun, huh?

Home sweet home!

Our house is really starting to come together and look more like a home. We'll have insulation and drywall starting this week. Wahoo!

All of our doors and windows are in (except for the supercool front door from crestviewdoors.com, my new favorite company. I love the doors they're building). Everything's coming together and we're getting closer and closer to move in date.

Parker loves you!

For those of you that didn't get our valentines email (a day late because stupid comcast sucks and our internet was down), here it is! We don't get to see any of you nearly as much as we'd like! Lots of love!

Parker in the car

I just wanted to share this short little video of Parker. She's starting to talk so well. Toddler words can be so fun. Just don't mind my singing.

Our trip to Maui

So we finally got a chance to post some photos from our trip. We had the most amazing time and didn't want to come home. It was beautiful, sunny and 78 degrees every day. It was so hard to come back to 10 degree weather and 2 weeks of snow. Parker LOVED the sand, and the water, and the ocean... She's still talking about the ocean. What a beautiful and amazing place. The road to Hana was nothing like we've ever seen. There were waterfalls around every corner and huge cliffs down to the ocean. We went to the seven sacred pools and hiked up to the top. Parker kept talking about the waterfalls... "I hear it! I hear it!" It was a very needed and revitalizing vacation and I think we're going to have to go back every year.

Here are a few favorites. If you want to see all of our photos go to:

Snowy Days

Mmmm! Snow tastes good!

Parker's first snow angel!

Sweet Lucy. She's such a snow dog!

Ahhh... finally some walls are up!

We're currently building a house for ourselves in the Avenues. It's been a long process but we've finally started. Not just started, but actually have the makings of a house. Check out our progress photos.
